The importance of state legislatures in our federal Republic cannot be over-emphasized.

 The U.S. Constitution established a federal government in which, by mutual consent, power is allocated between the national and state governments. The enumerated responsibilities of the national government are few, while nearly all domestic governmental powers belong to the states. The Tenth Amendment reiterates this point.

Having served in our state legislature, we clearly knew who was responsible for the public policies that impacted the people most, and who would be held accountable for their results.

Each state has its own colorful, intriguing, and significant history of which you were an important part. During our service, we accumulated a variety of photos, documents and keepsakes. Unfortunately, most of these personal treasures are not properly preserved or readily accessible to a broader audience.

That is why we created My Legislative Legacy. You now have an opportunity to conveniently and
permanently archive some of your most memorable legislative moments. In addition, you will have the opportunity to donate your legacy to an online museum currently in development.
